TY STEDMAN
OUR PROMISE

All Fine Art Prints are printed with EPSON printers using EPSON UltraChrome Inks on archival quality, acid-free papers from Hahnemuhle, Canson and Ilford. Print quality is expected to be maintained for at least 100 years if mounted and framed to archival standards.

Fine Art Papers are selected and matched to particular Image Collections that further highlight the quality and intended communication that the image delivers.

Images printed on Canvas are treated with a UV Coating to protect the canvas from moisture and contaminants.

Where possible, papers and canvas that do not include Optical Brightening Agents (OBAs), are selected for printing my images to aid in colour consistency over an extended period of time. Environmental impact is also significant consideration against the use of media containing OBAs.

To ensure the longevity of your investment please discuss options to frame your print to archival or conservation standards with your framer.

Why is the print colour slightly different to what I can see on my screen/monitor?

The slight differences that may exist between what you see on your computer/phone are due to the colour profiles and colour rendering capacities of your devices that may render colours slightly differently.

The range colours that are able to be printed is also greater than what is rendered on your screen due to the limited colour space (profile) that screens and monitors use to interpret colours.

Part of the production process involves producing images on colour calibrated monitors and proofing via colour calibrated EPSON printers to ensure that colours are rendered and printed as intended, as well as for consistency between consecutive prints.

What are Limited Editions?

Can I request a specific number in a Limited Edition?

Limited Edition prints are limited by number and are usually available in three sizes, each with its own quantity available for purchase. For example, 100 prints @ 40 x 50cm, 25 prints @ 80 x 100cm and 15 prints @ 100 x 125cm. Once a limited edition print is sold out no more prints will be produced and may only be purchased from existing owners. As an image nears its expiry, the purchase price of that image may increase accordingly.

All Limited Edition prints are signed and numbered sequentially.

Yes, you are welcome to request a specific edition number in a series and we will endeavour to accomodate your request. Please leave us a comment in the notes section of your online order or send an email to [email protected] with your request.

What are Artist Proofs?

Artist Proofs are proof prints that are made in the final stages of editing and production and are generally produced with small changes to the luminosity of the print before it is ready for production.

Artist Proofs may be made available for sale once the Limited Edition run has sold out. No more than 3 Artist Proofs will ever be made available in addition to the Limited Edition run.

All images are printed and handled to archival standards using EPSON printers and inks. All papers are Archival grade and have either no or minimal Optical Brightening Agents (OBAs) to ensure colour consistency throughout the life of the print.

To ensure the longevity of your investment, we highly recommend having your print framed to Archival or Conservation standards. Ensure that any matt board and mounting tapes are acid-free.

Images should also be hung away from direct sunlight which can degrade the image over time. UV-filtering glass should be considered in the framing process to alleviate the impact of direct sunlight on your print.

Consideration should also made to avoid areas of your home or office with high humidity or high fluctuations in temperature such as a bathroom or kitchen.

Framing

Services

Due to logistical limitations we do not offer framed prints due to the high potential of damage in transit. We also feel that it is more economical for our clients to ship your print rolled and secured in a tube where you can add your personal touch by framing it by a local professional framer in your region.

We are more than happy to assist with the framing portion of your purchase by providing a list of questions to ask your framer to ensure that your print is treated with due diligence.

We do welcome framing enquiries from customers in the South West of Western Australia.

Framing is a personal choice, however we have found that prints present best with a neutral black or white frame that enhance the presence of the image. We also suggest speaking to your framer about framing your stretched canvas piece with a profile frame to add an additional touch of sophistication to your investment..
