‘Winter Scar’

‘Winter Scar’ was shot from the open door of a helicopter during the peak of winter, high over the Southern Alps of New Zealand’s immaculate South Island. The blue, almost iridescent, compressed ice is sheltered from the winter sun under layers of fresh snow.
